Oswego Museum and Genealogy Center Sign   - Employment Opportunity -
 Curator Position Open 


The Oswego Historical Society, Inc., a not-for-profit Kansas corporation, has an opening for Head Curator at the Oswego Museum. This is a paid, part-time position. Applications must be received on or before Monday, April 1, 2024. The full text follows:

The Oswego Historical Society at 805 Barker Drive in Oswego, Kansas, will be needing a curator beginning June 1. This is a part-time position of 20 hours a week in the summer and one four-hour day per week in the winter.

Duties include, but are not limited to: monitoring and answering emails, responding to requests for genealogy research, online searches, office management, updating family historical files, and recording monetary donations. Knowledge of local history is ideal, but not mandatory. Willingness to learn and technical skills are vital.
